We turned left from Virpazar, on a small narrow road with weedy edges. The road led, as it was written on the handwritten road sign, to Rijeka Crnojevića. A little incredulously, we started climbing looking towards Virpazar and Crmnica.
After ten minutes of relaxing ride through the dense forest on a path ideal for cycling enthusiasts, right around the bend in front of us appeared a lake and a fantastic feeling of complete peace and harmony. There is no one for kilometers, nature in its full glory.
And then, behind one of the countless bends, the first sign of civilization appeared, a small village on the shores of the lake, beautiful old stone houses and vineyards.
Then again the forest, the road and us. At times we stopped, turned off the engine to listen to nature in peace. Lake again.
The wind was blowing gently, bringing with it that much-needed breath of freshness.
Then the villages, vineyards, water, tame animals started again.
And then, the bridges. Crnojevica River.
We took a short walk along the beautiful waterfront.
And then we headed back home. Once again we looked towards the river and the lake.
On the way back we stood on the cliff, watching the wonderful hills see off the sun.
