Baočići, also written Baošići, is a small, serene coastal settlement on the southern shore of the outer Bay of Kotor, tucked between Đenovići and Bijela within the municipality of Herceg Novi. It is a genuinely peaceful Adriatic retreat: a low-key village of traditional stone houses and waterfront homes, with easy access to the sea and open views across the bay. There is little here in the way of nightlife or grand attractions, and that is precisely the appeal for visitors who want a quiet, authentic stretch of the Boka coast rather than a busy resort. The village beach is a mix of fine gravel and sand, screened from the road by a line of trees, with sunloungers and umbrellas to hire and simple beach cafes through the warm season. The swimming is calm and the shallows gentle, which makes Baočići a comfortable, family-friendly spot for children and unhurried days by the water. A scenic shoreline promenade runs through the settlement and you can stroll along the coast to neighbouring Đenovići and on to Bijela, passing small swimming platforms and quiet coves along the way. Dining is straightforward and Mediterranean in character, built around fresh seafood, grilled fish and local wine at honest village prices. Despite its calm, Baočići is well placed for exploring. Herceg Novi, with its restaurants, beaches, old town and hilltop fortresses, is roughly 12 kilometres west, about a 20 minute drive. The coast road east leads toward Risan, Perast and UNESCO-listed Kotor, around 45 minutes away. From Tivat airport, the fastest route is the short Kamenari–Lepetane ferry across the Verige Strait and then a few minutes along the shore; by road around the bay the airport is roughly an hour. It is an ideal base for travellers who want quiet nights but easy access to the whole bay.
