At the crack of dawn, while even the valuable seagulls were still sleeping peacefully, your tireless reporters started new work feats! Today's goal was the legendary Luštica,
the famous peninsula across from Herceg Novi, known for many pirate, seafaring, fishing, and, by God, dynamite legends.
Lustica is known for its vast and unique olive groves, famous cheese made from oil, dried fish, prosciutto, cagli (steppe jackals), mongooses, the largest number of churches with two altars in the world, and who knows what else...
Krašići is the first and largest settlement on the peninsula, with dozens of small and peaceful coves, mules and, unfortunately, hundreds of non-adapted weekend houses, but with an incredibly well-preserved atmosphere of a small fishing village on the coast. Zabrdje is on the highest point of the peninsula, where the view looks straight to Herceg Novi, and from where the whole bay takes on a completely new dimension through the interweaving of hundreds of shades of beautiful natural colors and reflections...Rose are one of the oldest a settlement in Boka and the surrounding areas, a place that your reporters especially love, that many have loved before, and that many will surely love after us. The absolute silence, the peaceful patching of fishing nets and the almost inaudible morning calls of the rare inhabitants of this ancient settlement was briefly interrupted only by us passing by, accompanied by the curious looks of smiling locals and probably the riddle of the day "Okle sa' furesti in this age?".
We left Rose with a strange feeling as if we had momentarily interrupted something very important and delicate.
Zanjice was our next destination, there is still a lot to say about them! For decades, Zanjice has been the most important tourist destination of Novalja with its famous Mirista beach and then Mala Gospa, so the beaches around Arza... Zanjice is a place where in summer you can meet everyone in this world. Ugh, when we just remember stories, experiences, memories... our souls tighten a little bit....
Today, on this beautiful and sunny October 24, when Zanjice is almost completely empty, before the eyes of your reporters, memories of summer crowds with boats constantly coming and going, and with hundreds of faces staring at this, everyone's favorite corner...If only time could stop or at least go back a little...Your reporters
