Baočići

Baocici, also written Baosici, is on the southern shore of the outer Bay of Kotor between Djenovici and Bijela, in the Herceg Novi municipality. Herceg Novi is about 12 km west, a 20 minute drive.

A mix of fine gravel and sand, screened from the road by a line of trees, with loungers and umbrellas to hire and simple cafes through the warm season. The shallows are gentle, which makes it comfortable for children.

Yes — it is a low-key village of stone houses and waterfront homes with very little nightlife and no large resorts. That is the appeal: an authentic stretch of Boka coast rather than a busy holiday strip.

A shoreline promenade runs through the settlement, and you can continue on foot to Djenovici and on to Bijela, passing small swimming platforms and quiet coves. It is flat and shaded in stretches, and pleasant in the evening.

Straightforward Mediterranean cooking built around fresh seafood and grilled fish, with local wine, at village rather than resort prices. Choice is limited but the standard is honest, and Djenovici adds a few more options within walking distance.

Fastest is the Kamenari–Lepetane ferry across the Verige strait and then a few minutes along the shore. Driving right around the bay instead takes roughly an hour. Kotor is about 45 minutes east along the coast road.
