The NGO Krug from London and the British Council and the NGO Nasa Action organize the first regional conference "Green Culture" on the 15th-17th. May in Porto Montenegro in Tivat. The Green Culture Conference is a new concept initiated by artists and environmental activists from Great Britain, which deals with environmental issues from the perspective of culture, arts and creative industries. It indicates how influential creative industries are in changing behavior and how they can contribute to sustainable economic development while reducing the negative impact on the environment and using natural and renewable resources. The conference also aims to show how creativity and science can work together to create a clean, green urban space to live in. The conference will bring together lecturers and experts from prestigious British institutions such as Imperial College, Royal College of Art, Royal Central School for Speech and Drama, Cass Business School, Institute for Fundraising, Julie's Bicycle and Martin Kaufman Philanthropy. The conference also aims to establish an office for the coordination of innovative projects of Imperial College London "Blue Green Dream" (www.bgd.org.uk). The further intention is to bring local and regional experts and activists from the Ministry of Culture and Sustainable Development and non-governmental organizations as well as independent activists and all those who can contribute to this conference. The keynote speakers at the opening session will be Prince Nikola Petrovic and Alison Tickell from Julie's Bicycle.
