A 250-metre cove of yellow-white sand and small pebbles below the olive groves between Sveti Stefan and Petrovac, with a freshwater spring on the beach.
Nuestro veredicto
Drobni Pijesak — “fine sand” — is the wild beach of the Sveti Stefan coast: 250 m of pale sand and rounded pebble in a cove that is hard to reach by land and easy by sea, backed by olives and Mediterranean scrub, with a spring running onto the sand. Local tradition places the Bankada, the court of the Paštrovići chiefs, here before it moved to Sveti Stefan in the early 1800s. Restaurants and cafés operate above the beach in season, but the loungers, lifeguards and parking are not something to plan around.

- The access road and path drop steeply from the highway with no shade — the climb back in the afternoon heat is the hardest part of the day
- No guaranteed lifeguard: the three registered bathing units are not staffed every day
- Boats come in close because the cove is easier to reach from the sea than by land — swim inside any buoys and watch the middle of the bay
- The spring is described as drinkable by the tourist board, but no current test result exists — treat it as untested

- Can I drink from the spring?
- The Budva Tourist Organisation calls it a spring of drinking water, but our guide found no current public microbiological result for it. Bring your own water and treat the spring as untested.
- What is the Bankada?
- The assembly and court of the Paštrovići clan chiefs. Local tradition and the tourist board say it once met at Drobni Pijesak before moving to Sveti Stefan in the early 19th century; the 1423 charter in the Venice archives that the story is often tied to does not actually locate the meeting here.
- How do I get there?
- By car or bus to the signed turn off the Adriatic highway between Sveti Stefan and Reževići, then a steep descent on foot, or by taxi boat from Sveti Stefan or Petrovac in summer. Allow far longer for the climb back up.
