Riviera de Bar
El Paseo del Rey
Un paseo bordeado de palmeras que pasa junto al palacio de verano del rey Nikola y su jardín botánico, y une la playa urbana de Bar, al abrigo de los pinos, con uno de los mayores puertos deportivos del Adriático.

Conviene saber
- El paseo más cómodo de la costa para sillas de ruedas y carritos de bebé: llano y pavimentado de principio a fin.
- Recórrelo en sentido Žukotrlica → centro: las estaciones de tren y de autobuses quedan cerca del final — el tren nocturno Belgrado–Bar (254 túneles, 435 puentes) termina a tres manzanas de este paseo.
- La sombra es excelente en el pinar Žukotrlica–Šušanj; el tramo Topolica–marina es un paseo abierto entre palmeras — en julio–agosto, evita las horas centrales del día.
- Se ha informado de que el museo del Palacio del Rey Nikola está cerrado por reformas — confírmalo allí antes de planear la visita al interior; el parque y la fachada siguen abiertos.
- Aquí el mar sigue invitando al baño hasta bien entrado octubre.

Žukotrlica

Not one compact resort beach but a long pine-backed stretch north of Bar's central waterfront — about 1,000 metres and 55,000 square metres by the local tourism organisation's description, covering pebble, rock, planted and natural shade, paths and several separately managed bathing sectors. Žuka is the local name for Spanish broom, Spartium junceum, a common shrub of sunny rocky ground.

717 metres of pebble and 15,881 square metres, with mature pines standing at the back — the only real shade on this stretch of shore. Behind it Mount Rumija rises to 1,594 metres, the backdrop the whole walk is measured against.

Topolica promenade

The palm-lined šetalište that carries King Nikola's name, fronting Topolica beach. Topolica is where Bar grew after the first coastal settlement at Pristan was cleared for the port: the town you walk through is the outcome of a siege, a move downhill, a port plan and two railways, not an old city badly rebuilt by the sea.
King Nikola's Palace

King Nikola's Palace stands in its own park on the Topolica seafront and reopened on 20 July 2026 after a major restoration, again housing Bar's Homeland Museum. The familiar wedding-gift story needs correcting: the institution that runs the museum says Prince Petar Karađorđević built the residence for his own use after marrying Princess Zorka in 1883, and Nikola bought the property later. Confirm outdoor access directly.

The palm promenade ends among café terraces beside one of the southern Adriatic's working harbours: roughly 700 serviced berths at the sea's entrance, 104 nautical miles from the Strait of Otranto, with a 75-tonne travel lift and full shipyard workshops. It is a yard as much as a marina, and a common wintering base for boats cruising this coast.

Etapa 6 de 6 →Finish at the Cathedral of Saint Jovan Vladimir — two bell towers and a gilded dome in an olive grove — consecrated on 25 September 2016, the thousandth anniversary of the death of the ruler of Duklja it is named for, after thirty-seven years from the first request for a site. Its walls carry about 4,800 m² of true fresco. The parish calls it Montenegro's largest Orthodox church; other reports rank it second after Podgorica.
