Across the boulevard from the Slovenska plaža complex, this pocket of Budva keeps more greenery than most: oleander, palms and pines planted when the resort was laid out, with tennis courts among them that stay open all year. The beach is directly opposite, a long and gently shelving stretch with a paved promenade, showers, pedalos and enough shade to see out an August afternoon without moving much at all.
The promenade is the neighbourhood's main street in practice. Walk it north-west for fifteen minutes and the Old Town walls rise straight out of the water; walk south-east and you reach the marina, where boats leave for Sveti Nikola, the wooded island a kilometre offshore that everyone calls Hawaii. Restaurants along the way lean towards grilled fish and shellfish, with the better konobas usually one street back from the water. Budva's summer calendar runs on this stretch too, from Grad teatar performances staged inside the Old Town to concerts on the beach, and out of season the promenade turns into a running track for locals.
