Three hundred metres from both the old town and the beach puts this address in the compact middle of Budva, where the town is small enough that most of what you need is a walk away and a car becomes something you leave parked. The shape of a day here tends to be fixed by the geography: mornings on the town beach or the coves under the walls, the hottest hours somewhere shaded, and the evening spent on the promenade that runs from the marina past the old town.
Stari Grad is the anchor. Behind the gates, lanes barely two metres wide open onto small squares, the Citadela looks down over the water, and the archaeological collection holds the Greek and Roman material that shows how far back the settlement goes. Beyond the walls, Mogren is reached by a narrow path cut into the cliff, and boats leave the harbour for Sveti Nikola island all summer. Eating ranges from bakery burek at the start of the day to konoba dinners of grilled fish and blitva. Budva runs hard through July and August, with open-air concerts and a night scene that goes until dawn; May, June and September are the months for a quieter version of the same town.
