The address translates as the road to the ski slopes, and that is exactly the position: this stretch of Kolašin runs between the main route up to the Jezerine ski centre, about four kilometres uphill, and the clear water of the Bjelasica river below. In winter the traffic on this road is skis on roof racks by eight in the morning and woodsmoke by four in the afternoon; in summer the same road becomes the way to alpine meadows, mountain-bike descents and the pastures above town. The riverbank on this side is quiet enough that you can sit out with a coffee and hear nothing but water over stones.
The town centre is roughly two kilometres away — walkable in good weather, a couple of minutes by car — which puts Kolašin's small grid of cafés, bakeries and konobas within easy reach without putting it under your window. The town has traded on its mountain air since it was first described as a natural air spa, and this belt of villas along the ski road is where that reputation is easiest to feel. Beyond the immediate surroundings, Biogradska Gora National Park and its glacial lake lie to the north-east, and rafting operators on the Tara canyon run day trips from town all summer.
