Twenty metres from Slovenska plaža puts this address on Budva's main beach, a curve of fine shingle and imported sand running close to two kilometres east from the town centre. Behind it lies the green belt of pines, oleander and palms that separates the sand from the road, and the promenade through it is the town's default walk at any hour. Sunbed rows, showers, pedalos and the parasailing boat operate all season; the far end of the beach, toward the Podkošljun woods, is consistently the calmest.
The old town is a straightforward stroll west along the same waterfront, twenty minutes at most, ending at the marina and the walls. Beyond the ramparts the cliff path leads to the Mogren coves for a swim with more rock and less crowd. Sveti Nikola island lies a few hundred metres offshore, with taxi boats leaving from the beach and the harbour through the summer. Away from the water, the streets behind hold the markets, bakeries and grill restaurants that make up daily life in Budva, and the bus station a few minutes away opens up Kotor, Tivat and the rest of the coast for day trips.
