This pocket of Topla lies on the hillside between Herceg Novi and Igalo, above the coastal highway, in the kind of residential quarter where the loudest thing after dark is a neighbour's dog. The height buys a view of the whole western entrance to the Bay of Kotor, with the Luštica hills opposite and Prevlaka closing the horizon, and the position puts two different towns within reach on foot or by a very short bus ride.
Downhill and east is Herceg Novi proper: the market, the stepped old town, Forte Mare and the bars around Belavista. Downhill and west is Igalo, flatter and more open, built around the Institute Dr Simo Milošević and its therapeutic sea mud, with a long shallow beach that suits families and a promenade that eventually joins Šetalište Pet Danica running back into town. Between the two you have most of what the municipality offers: swimming from morning until dark, konobas doing grilled fish and lamb from the hinterland, buses along the coast to Kotor and Budva, and the Croatian border a short drive west. Parking, usually the awkward part of a coastal stay, is straightforward this far up the slope.
