Blizikuće is one of the small hamlets scattered on the slope above the coast a kilometre inland from Sveti Stefan, where the houses sit among olives and macchia and the road narrows to something closer to a lane. The height buys a wide view over the sea and the island, and the air moves in the evening in a way it does not down on the shore. It is a quiet address by nature, with the noise of the Adriatic highway safely below.
The two nearest beaches are worth the descent. Crvena Glavica is a chain of small pebble coves under red-earth cliffs, and Drobni Pijesak is a broad crescent of coarse pale sand backed by pines, historically a meeting place of the Paštrovići assembly — both around a kilometre away and neither as busy as the strands beside the causeway. North along the coast lie Pržno's fishing harbour, the shaded Miločer estate and, eight kilometres on, Budva's Old Town; south, Petrovac and the long sweep of Buljarica. The hills behind climb quickly to Praskvica monastery and the mountain road toward Cetinje.
