Raštovac

Raštovac is a small village in the Montenegrin interior, set among rolling hills and mixed woodland well away from both the coast and the main north-south routes. Settlements like this one form the connective tissue of the country: a dozen or so households, a cluster of stone houses with heavy roofs, a few hectares of meadow and orchard, and forest closing in on every side. There is no centre, no square and no obvious point at which the village begins or ends.
