Right on the water in Dobrota's Kriva ulica, the day organises itself around the shoreline. There is both concrete and a pocket of pebble to swim from within a few steps, loungers and shade nearby, and the bay is sheltered enough that even small children can get in and out safely — no waves, no undertow, just deep clear water once you are past the ladder. Kayaks and paddleboards are easy to hire along this shore, and the coastline in either direction is made for them.
Beyond swimming, the shore road is the neighbourhood's spine: flat, walkable, good on a bike, lined with captains' houses and small chapels, and running the whole length of the village. Kotor's Old Town is a couple of kilometres south — walk in during the cool of the evening for the cathedral, the lit walls and ice cream on the squares, or drive in for the morning market by the Sea Gate. North, the road curves past Orahovac to Perast and the boats out to Our Lady of the Rocks. Grilling on the terrace while the mountain shadow crosses the water is a perfectly good alternative to going anywhere at all.
