Each in our own words
Dobreč
Dobreč is the quiet stop the Herceg Novi excursion boats sell: a short pebble cove on the north shore of Luštica, facing back across the bay mouth to Njivice and Prevlaka, with maquis behind it and no road. The water is open-sea water rather than inner-bay water, and the company is whoever the last boat brought. Our own list places it "near Bigova"; it is not — Bigova is on the Grbalj coast south of Tivat, and Dobreč is reached from the Herceg Novi side.
Nothing here can be relied on to be open, so treat it as a wild beach and carry water and shade; and you are tied to the boat timetable, because there is no walking out.
Rose
Rose is a village you swim from rather than a beach you go to. The water is clear enough that Morsko Dobro singles it out for diving, the pebble shore and the concrete either side of the pier stay quiet even in August, and the stone houses come right down to the edge. What brings most people across is lunch on a terrace over the water, with the swim as the reason to stay the afternoon. Come by boat: the road around Luštica takes far longer than the crossing.
Almost nothing here is confirmed — no toilets, showers, loungers or lifeguard are recorded, and no length is published for the shore. The quay works all day, and the 2026 season ended on a Sufficient sample on 15 September, the only end-of-season dip on this coast.
