Kotor Sea Gate

Start beneath the walls of a UNESCO-listed medieval town at the head of the bay, where grey mountains drop straight into fjord-like water. Inside the gates: marble-paved lanes, hidden squares, Romanesque churches and shuttered Venetian palaces, with the Cathedral of St Tryphon at the centre.
