This address sits on the slope between Ulcinj's town beaches and the residential streets above — close enough that three separate swimming spots are within about six hundred and fifty metres, far enough that the noise of the seafront never reaches the gardens. Fig and pomegranate trees hang over the walls, and most of the surrounding houses are family-owned rather than blocks, which keeps the streets quiet outside July and August.
A short walk downhill puts you at Mala plaža, the sandy bay beneath the fortress, and roughly the same distance takes you up into the Old Town itself: stone lanes, a museum, a Venetian-era palace and terraces looking straight down the coast. In between are the things a self-catering stay actually needs — the green market for tomatoes, figs and cheese, bakeries opening at six, fishmongers, and grill houses where a mixed plate costs less than a seafront starter. The bus station connects to Velika plaža, thirteen kilometres of sand south-east of town, and to Valdanos, where an old olive grove runs down to a pebble bay. Evening here means a slow walk down to the promenade rather than a taxi anywhere.
