The official start of summer is around the corner, hot July days, and you know what that means... It's time to spend time at the sea or at least to start thinking about a summer trip and a break from all obligations. For your seaside retreat, we have selected four wonderful beaches and four different locations, so you have several sunny options from which to choose the perfect one for you and your vacation style. From practicing yoga on a serene fine sand beach to adventure sailing around the island and discovering ancient forts, there is something for all types of travelers.

Sail on the Herzegnov Bay If you love the land and the sea with equal enthusiasm, a vacation in Montenegro will make you a happy person, because there are a large number of locations that you can reach only by water. We recommend that you go by sailboat or boat to the Luštica peninsula, which has undiscovered sandy bays and fortresses. On that way, you will meet the island of Mamula, an islet with the monastery of the Virgin Mary, the fortress of Arza on the far end of the Luštica peninsula and Mirišta bay, as a destination for rest and refreshment.

Sailing towards "Mirišti", you will inevitably be attracted by the islet that captivates with its secrecy and on which the Monastery of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin is located. If you decide to stop by and visit this old and historically important place, you will always come across a warm-hearted priest who is also the only inhabitant of this fairy-tale island. The monastery dates back to the 14th century, while some claim it dates back to the 11th, as evidenced by the discovered seal of the monastery from that era. The monastery is covered with stone and completely sinks into the island, creating a harmony that is difficult to describe in words.

Not far from the island with the monastery is the 'defensive' fortress of Arza from the Austro-Hungarian era. The fortress is positioned at the very end of the Luštica peninsula, at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, and is surrounded by rocks that plunge into the blue Adriatic, and it seems to us that this is exactly the point where the land meets the sea, and the shining stone of the fortress defies the winds and waves. Although the terrain is not accessible, after you overcome the rocks around the fortress, the circular stairs will take you to the fortress where you can climb to the very top from which you can see the bays, beaches, and endless open azure sea. And one of the beaches that can be seen from this fortress is Mirišta.

Mirišta is not one of those "glamorous" beaches, but its charm will win you over forever. It is a small beach where you can "seclude yourself" and during the peak season when other beaches are full of people and crowds, here you will be greeted by a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is surrounded by wild Mediterranean plants, olive groves and fig trees, and there is a restaurant and a coffee bar in the immediate vicinity. You can reach Mirište by a path through the olive groves that leads from Žanjica, or by boat, boat or sailboat if you wish. The view from this beach is impressive, because it overlooks the fortress of Arza, the islet with the monastery of the Holy Virgin and the island of Mamula.

Relax at Dukley Resort on the Budva Riviera The Budva Riviera offers a large number of wonderful and spacious sandy beaches, and each of these beaches is a unique destination in itself. When it comes to unique beaches, Dukely beach and resort in Budva are not only glamorous but also relaxing. If you want to relax in the shade of rocks surrounded by flowering Mediterranean plants while tasting delicious specialties and cocktails in the ambience of the private VIP Dukley beach, this is the place for you. The fantastic time at Exit continues on one of the largest beaches on the Adriatic - Jaz beach. Past line-ups have featured world music stars such as Sean Paul, Mahmut Orhan, John Newman and Fatboy Slim, along with many other excellent performers. If you like concerts and the beach, this festival combines both so you can listen to your favorite band or DJ right on the beach.

  Practice yoga on Ada Bojana One of the more relaxed places in Montenegro, where nirvana is guaranteed, is a beautiful river island created from the Bojana river delta, Ada. The place covers 600 hectares, and the kilometer-long sandy beach that surrounds it, ⁠Ada Bojana, is a real paradise for families, solo travelers or couples on their honeymoon. Everyone who had the opportunity to visit Ada Bojana at least once in their life could convince themselves of the already widely known natural beauty of this island, the beaches and the richness of its flora and fauna. 143 species and subspecies of fish have been registered in the Ada delta, which is certainly a true inspiration for nature lovers.

If you want to spend your trip relaxing and unwinding, Ada is an inexhaustible source of good energy, and guests from all over the world come to Ada to meditate. Also, due to the wonderful clear sea and the long beach with soft sand, water sports are extremely popular: kitesurfing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing. In recent years, this place has become especially popular for kite surfers and all lovers of this sport. There are a number of kitesurfing clubs on the beach, where you can take lessons, rent equipment and have a great time.
