On the first weekend of February, in Herceg Novi, the traditional Mimosa holiday was opened for the thirty-sixth time in a row.
Around 20,000 guests from various parts of Europe attended the Mimosa Festival, on the promenade of Đenovići and Baošić, along with majorettes and trombone players.
The procession started from Kumbor, as in all previous years, in the early, fresh morning hours and moved all the way to Baošić, where the central celebration took place. Along the shore, locals fried fish and distributed it to guests.
The combination of the smell of sweets, wine and beer, good music and smiling faces of people, in an environment decorated with beautiful yellow flowers, marked this holiday once again for a good time, all for free in the name of Mimosa and traditional hospitality.
On the same evening, a masquerade ball was organized in the Mediterranean Health Center in Igalo where 250 masked participants had fun.
We received a photo collage from that ceremony from our associates. The Mimosa Festival continues with a series of festivities, exhibitions, theater performances, carnivals, etc.
