Igalo Institute & Mud Baths

The walk begins at Institute “Dr Simo Milošević”, an operating rehabilitation and hospitality complex where the shallow bay yields the mineral mud, mineral water and thalassotherapy the town is known for. Their presence is not proof of a cure: the strongest recent review rates the benefits and risks of balneotherapy in rheumatology as very low certainty. West of the Institute, where the Sutorina river enters the bay, lies Stara Banja — the “old spa” — the cove where the mud beach is; a few boats moor at its mouth.
