Djurdjevića Tara

A concrete arch bridge over the Tara canyon in northern Montenegro, completed in 1940. Its main span is about 116 m and the deck stands roughly 150 m above the river, which made it the largest vehicular concrete arch bridge in Europe when it opened.

Most half-day trips put in downstream from the bridge, at Brstanovica, and the full run starts further up at Splaviste. Operators based here arrange transfers, so the bridge is where many rafting days begin and end.

Yes, even briefly. Park at either end, walk out onto the deck and look down; the view along the canyon is one of the best roadside views in the country. There are cafes and stalls on both banks.
