Kumbor

Kumbor is a village on the Herceg Novi Riviera, on the northern shore of the Bay of Kotor between Djenovici and Igalo. It lies about 6 km from Herceg Novi and is best known today as the location of the Portonovi resort and marina.

Portonovi is a marina and resort development built at Kumbor on a former naval base, with berths for large yachts, a One&Only hotel, an Espace Chenot wellness spa, and a promenade of restaurants and shops. It transformed the village into the upmarket end of the riviera.

Yes, pebble beaches and bathing platforms along the shore, plus the managed beach club within Portonovi. The bay water here is calm and clear, and the public stretches remain free and easy to reach from the coastal road.

About 6 km, roughly ten minutes by car and a little more by the frequent coastal bus. Igalo lies between the two, and the Kamenari ferry to Tivat is around ten minutes in the other direction.

It depends entirely where you stay. Portonovi is among the most expensive addresses in Montenegro, while the surrounding village keeps ordinary private apartments and konobas at normal local prices — the two sit side by side.

Walk the riviera promenade, swim from the pebble beaches, look around the Portonovi marina, take a boat into the bay or to the Blue Cave, and use the village as a base for Herceg Novi, Perast and the Luštica peninsula.
