Dear visitors, the following travelogue from the Montenegro Trophy rally was submitted by Stefan Radošević from Podgorica. Down steep slopes and sharp bends, on the slopes themselves,

where the road is carved into the mountains,

across green valleys,

beside quiet streams and fast rivers,

this July, the fifth anniversary rally took place. The first sounds of racing car engines were heard in Nikšić, where the first stage began, which led us through the Sinjajevina and Maganik mountains all the way to Beran.

where we were accommodated. The next day we drove to Plav to start the second stage and there we were warmly welcomed by the citizens of Plav in large numbers, and as a sign of welcome the mayor of the town gave a speech.

The second stage led us through the wonderful regions of Komovo and Prokletije. The immense beauty of Prokletije distracted some drivers who could not resist the sight, so they stopped their race to take pictures of this incredible gift of nature. This stage ended very close to the triple border of Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania, where we were welcomed with great hospitality by the locals. There we were served a rich meal with local specialties: cheeses, kacamak, sour milk, delicious sandwiches... Satisfied and satisfied, we returned to Berane to start a new stage called "Orientation drive" or "Orientation test". Here, the drivers (and passengers) had to cover certain lengths of the road in a given time, which also means that they were not allowed to cross the finish line earlier or later than the given time. They had to be extremely accurate because every second (before or after the given time) carried 20 penalty points. The participant with the fewest penalty points was, of course, the winner of this part of the rally. The best in "Orientation driving" were: 1. Goran Mugoša 2. Sandro Tatar 3. Ivanovic The following day, the "Skills Test" was held, where the drivers had to pass through various obstacles, among others, "wooden steps" that they were not allowed to knock down, and in the best possible weather. Each downed staircase carries a 5 second penalty. The best were: 1. Stanišić 2. Krivokapić 3. Zeković In the General classification, where both parts of the rally were scored, the best drivers of the rally were: 1. Goran Mugoša 2. Sandro Tatar 3. Radmila Bolstrom (from Sweden) My personal opinion is that Montenegro Trophy has the potential to become one of the tourist offers in Montenegro, because this rally gathers guests from Sweden (one of the winners of this year's races), Serbia and Italy... At the end of the rally, the mayor of Beran wished us a happy trip and promised that next year he will also be a participant in the races. It should be noted that on the way back home, we stopped by Ali Pasha's springs. Beautiful and for many (as well as for me) an area unknown until then...
